Why this update?

Microsoft has recently introduced changes to its Windows driver security policies. As a result, following recent Windows updates (April 2026), some users may encounter a Windows error message when connecting their eego amplifier, indicating that the installed driver does not comply with current security requirements. This can prevent the amplifier from being detected by the eego software.

To ensure continued compatibility with the latest Windows versions, we have released an updated driver package that complies with Microsoft's new driver signing and security requirements.

Step 01: Disconnect the amplifier

Disconnect your eego amplifier from your computer before beginning the update.

Step 02: Remove the existing driver

Open:

Settings → Apps → Installed Apps

Search for:

"eego64 Amplifier Driver"

Select the driver and click Uninstall.

Step 03: Download the updated driver

Download:

DDE-OP-3238 rev. 1.4.41 – eego Amplifier Driver

Step 04: Install the new driver

Run the downloaded .msi installer and follow the on-screen instructions.

Step 05: Reconnect the amplifier

After installation is complete, reconnect the eego amplifier.

Step 06: Verify operation

Launch the eego software and confirm that the amplifier is detected correctly.
