Welcome to ANT Neuro Educational Webinar Series!

Multichannel Electroencephalography (EEG) is widely used in clinical neurology and neuroscientific research. Wet, paste or gel-based Silver/Silver-Chloride electrodes represent an often-used standard in the field. Skin preparation, gel application and subsequent cleaning require skilled personnel and extensive laboratory time, especially in high density EEG setups with more than 64 electrodes.

This webinar will introduce various new types of dry EEG electrodes for improved contact stability and improved subject comfort. By tailoring the hardness of the electrode material, applications on small children and babies become possible. Multichannel setups with up to 256 channels will also be presented.

The presenter is Prof. Jens Haueisen who received his M.S. and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the Technical University Ilmenau, Germany, in 1992 and 1996, respectively. From 1996 to 1998 he worked as a Post-Doc and from 1998 to 2005 as the head of the Biomagnetic Center, Friedrich-Schiller-University, Jena, Germany. Since 2005 he has been Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Director of the Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Informatics at the Technical University Ilmenau. His research interests include the investigation of active and passive bioelectric and biomagnetic phenomena and medical technology for ophthalmology.

The registration deadline is 24:00 (CET) on February 22nd, 2021.

Looking forward to welcoming you to this webinar!
