Welcome to ANT Neuro Educational Webinar Series!
The webinar will focus on two recent projects carried out in the field of mental health and the use of psychedelics as therapeutic intervention. Dr. Frank Zanow will provide a personal account of mobile, high-density hyperscanning EEG field studies which were performed in the Peruvian amazon early this year. He will provide insight into the collaborative efforts undertaken by https://braincredible.ch/ and the academic partners as well as the logistical and technical challenges the team was confronted with. Of course, the presentation will highlight how such mobile EEG field studies can be performed in extreme conditions. Join us to hear about Franks’ subjective experiences gathered during the expedition including travel highlights from Lima, Iquitos, Pucallpa, as well as from the surrounding rainforest visits. The webinar will be followed by a Q&A session including a discussion around the topic of psychedelic neuroscience, neuroscience of expanded consciousness, and how these topics can be approached employing EEG hyperscanning setups.
Dr Zanow studied Electrical Engineering at the TU Ilmenau in Germany and received his PhD from the University of Twente (NL) in 1997 in the field of Applied Physics. During this time, he was involved in the design and implementation of a complex electro- and magnetoencephalographic (EEG, MEG) data analysis platform. The resulting software demarked the starting point for the establishment of the company ANT (Advanced Neuro Technology). In addition to his involvement within industrial endeavors, Dr Zanow has continued to participate and drive innovative research projects. Specifically, his interest revolves around the investigation, establishment and validation of novel technological solutions aimed at the detection of and interaction with neural activity.
Looking forward to welcoming you to this webinar.
