nThis event is closed. You can watch the recorded session from here. Welco
me to ANT Neuro Educational Webinar Series! Transcranial Brain Stimulation
(TMS & TCS) are increasingly used in basic research to study brain-behavi
or-relationships and in clinical practice for treating various mental diso
rders such as depression. We now know that the effects of TMS/TCS are stat
e-dependent causing large intra- and inter-subject variability and hinderi
ng its reproducibility on single-subject-level. We propose to overcome thi
s fundamental limitation by using the pioneering approach of concurrent TM
S+EEG+fMRI\, enabling us to apply TMS/TCS at predefined oscillatory state
moments (phases) or amplitudes (power) and probe state-dependent gating of
brain stimulation within brain-wide functional networks. Once personalize
d and adapted\, however\, we need to also make the brain stimulation treat
ment more accessible and scalable\, and thus start offering digital cloud-
based home-administered solutions. The presenter is Professor Dr. Alexande
r T. Sack who is one of the world’s most renowned expert in noninvasive
brain stimulation\, fundamental and applied cognitive neuroscience\, and c
linical brain stimulation research. He is currently appointed as Chair and
Full professor of Brain Stimulation and Applied Cognitive Neuroscience at
  the Faculty of Psychology & Neuroscience\, Maastricht University\, co-dir
ector of the interfaculty Center for Integrative Neuroscience (CIN)\, and
scientific director of the TMS Clinic at the Maastricht University Medical
Center (MUMC+). He is also Principal Investigator (PI) of the research se
ction “Brain Stimulation and Cognition” at the Maastricht Brain Imagin
g Centre. Looking forward to welcoming you to this webinar. ANT Neuro Educ
