DESCRIPTION:<a href="https://academy.ant-neuro.com/event/virtual-reality-as
 -a-tool-for-mobile-brain-body-imaging-34/register">Virtual Reality as a to
ol for Mobile Brain/Body Imaging</a>\nThis webinar has ended. You can watc
h the recorded session here. Welcome to ANT Neuro Educational Webinar Seri
es! Recent developments in imaging technology allow experiments outside es
tablished laboratory environments and protocols that combine brain imaging
devices with motion capture and virtual reality (VR). Head mounted VR sys
tems provide the opportunity to allow active behavior of participants whil
e controlling the experimental environment. This combination is a signific
ant advantage increasing ecological validity. In this talk\, examples from
the Berlin Mobile Brain/Body Imaging Labs will be presented\, demonstrati
ng experimental protocols using synchronized EEG and HMD VR. The results a
nd problems arising from the combination of these technologies will be dis
cussed. The presenter is Prof. Dr. Klaus Gramann who received his Ph.D. in
psychology from RWTH Aachen\, Aachen\, Germany. He was a postdoc with the
LMU Munich\, Germany\, and the Swartz Center for Computational Neuroscien
ce\, University of California at San Diego. After working as a visiting pr
ofessor at the National Chiao Tung University\, Hsinchu\, Taiwan he became
the chair of Biopsychology and Neuroergonomics with the Technical Univers
ity of Berlin\, Germany in 2012. Since 2017\, he has also been a Professor
with the University of Technology Sydney\, Australia. His research covers
the neural foundations of cognitive processes with a focus on the brain d
ynamics of embodied cognitive processes. He directs the Berlin Mobile Brai
n/Body Imaging Labs (BeMoBIL) that focus on imaging human brain dynamics i
n actively behaving participants. This session will be followed by a live
demonstration of eego system by ANT Neuro application specialist/ product
management team. Looking forward to welcoming you to this webinar! Organiz
