 >Assessment of hemispheric dominance for language in paediatric epilepsy s
urgery</a>\nThis webinar has ended. You can watch the recorded session her
 e. Welcome to ANT Neuro Educational Webinar Series! In this webinar\, nove
l method to assess hemispheric language dominance in the surgery process o
f epileptic children will be discussed. The presenters will walk you throu
gh scalp electromagnetic fields to extra and intracranial stimulation. The
first presenter is Prof. Stefano Seri who is a Child Neurologist and Clin
ical Neurophysiologist whose interest has been the development and clinica
l validation if functional imaging techniques to characterise intermediate
phenotypes of developmental disorders. His main expertise is in the pre-o
perative evaluation of children with drug-resistant epilepsy from scalp an
d intracranial EEG recordings to functional mapping of eloquent cortex wit
h intracranial MEG\, fMRI and intracranial and transcranial magnetic stimu
lation. He has led Aston University clinical MEG activity for the last 15
years\, and prior to that to was Professor of Developmental Neuropsychiatr
y and Director of the paediatric clinical neurophysiology unit in the Univ
ersity “Tor Vergata” in Rome\, Italy. The second presenter is Dr. Pete
r Bill who is a Consultant Clinical Scientist and Head of the Neurophysiol
ogy Department at Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital. His main
interests are pre-surgical evaluation of children with drug resistant epi
lepsy and is the clinical lead for the evoked potential service with speci
fic interest in visual electrodiagnostics. He is a past chair of the Assoc
iation of Neurophysiological Scientists\, and is the Interim Regional Chie
f Scientific Officer for the Midlands supporting the response to Covid-19.
Peter has an honorary lecturing role at Aston University supporting the p
rovision of the Masters level Scientific Training Program in Neurophysiolo
gy. The registration deadline is 24:00 (CEST) on November 12th. [...]
