DESCRIPTION:<a href="https://academy.ant-neuro.com/event/brain-learns-brain
-eeg-and-deep-learning-methods-22/register">Brain learns brain: EEG and De
ep Learning methods</a>\nThis webinar has ended. You can watch the recorde
d session here. Welcome to ANT Neuro Educational Webinar Series! Within th
e recent years\, deep learning (DL) techniques have been applied to electr
ophysiological data. The power of the convolutional neural network-powered
analysis seems especially promising for enhanced analysis of brain waves.
The webinar gives an overview of the state-of-the-art techniques for usin
g DL with electroencephalogram time-series for classification tasks. This
includes an overview on the hard- and software requirements and the comput
ational skills. The presenter will outline the usage of DL in mental disor
ders as well as the application for neuroscientific research in high sampl
ing rate recordings\, including pitfalls to avoid. The presentation will b
e followed by a virtual product demonstration and a Q&A session. Our prese
nter\, Dr. Sebastian Olbrich\, earned his MD degree at Ludwig Maximilian U
niversity of Munich\, Germany. He is the co-founder of DeepPsy\, a company
that offers treatment personalization based on the individual biological
profile of patients by analyzing EEG and ECG data. He is the Deputy Chief
of the Center for Social Psychiatry at the Psychiatric Hospital of the Uni
versity of Zurich\, Switzerland\, and is starting his new position as the
Chief of the Center for Affective Disorders in August 2021. Among his othe
r commitments\, Dr. Olbrich has also been the President of the Internation
al Pharmaco-EEG Society (IPEG) since 2018. We look forward to welcoming yo
