s webinar has ended. You can watch the recorded session here. Welcome to A
NT Neuro Educational Webinar Series! A new trend in neuroscience is to exp
lore mechanisms of the perceptual system in a real environment. Instead of
testing experimental conditions in a lab setup\, researchers use a virtua
l environment or even perform experiments in real-life situations. Such ex
periments allow us to study the transformation of human brain responses to
stimuli like smell or taste when humans are experiencing different enviro
nmental conditions like sensory deprivation in a cave\, extremely low temp
eratures (-40°C) of the Lake Baikal\, or extreme heat (+70°C) of Dasht-E
Lut desert. Exploring the human adaptation system in extreme environmenta
l conditions opens new horizons in understanding human survival mechanisms
. Join the upcoming webinar to learn more about our experiments\, EEG acqu
isition methods\, results\, and more. This webinar will be presented by Ch
ristian Clot who is an explorer\, researcher\, publicist\, and the foundin
g director of Human Adaptation Institute (France). Since 2006\, he leads r
esearch expeditions in extreme environments. The primary focus of this exp
editions is to explore cognitive and physiological mechanisms of the human
adaptation system. We look forward to welcoming you to this webinar! ANT
