of EEG based Brainmarker-I</a>\nThis webinar has ended. You can watch the
recorded session here. Welcome to ANT Neuro Educational Webinar Series! G
iven relatively modest remission rates for antidepressant treatments avail
able\, there is a need for approaches that help tailor existing treatments
to the individual in order to improve remission rates. In addition\, such
techniques should be clinically actionable and well validated in blinded
out-of-sample validations. Here we introduce the concept of Stratified Psy
chiatry\, that is better suited for implementation in clinical practice\,
and demonstrate that Brainmarker-I\, an EEG biomarker\, can successfully h
elp stratify patients between 1-Hz right and 10-Hz left rTMS\, as well as
for ECT and various other antidepressant treatments\, as a clinically acti
onable stratification marker\, with an effective gain of 24% more remissio
n on the group level. Transdiagnostic application off Brainmarker-I in ADH
D yielded +29-36 higher remission rates in blinded out-of-sample validatio
ns. The presenter is Dr. Martijn Arns who is the research director at the
Brainclinics Foundation and associate professor at Maastricht University\,
Faculty of Psychology & Neuroscience. His main interest is Stratified Psy
chiatry and Precision Psychiatry for Depression and ADHD\, and brain stimu
lation techniques such as rTMS. Looking forward to welcoming you to this w
